Babble ::: The Japanese Translation Specialists
Why
should I use Babble to translate my material?
With years of
experience behind us, we are experts in the field of Japanese translation,
committed both to quality and accuracy.
Many translation companies offer translation into twenty or more different languages, but without in-house language capabilities, much of the work they handle is outsourced to freelance translators. As a result, translation quality can be difficult to control.
At Babble, we specialise in translation between Japanese and English. We employ bilingual professionals from around the world and quality is checked at every stage to ensure that we provide our clients with the high standards of translation they demand in whatever field they may require.
How
much will it cost?
The cost of translation can vary. The
main things which affect the cost of a translation are:
-
TECHNICALITY
As you would
expect, it takes much longer to translate a complicated medical or legal
document than it does to translate, for example, a simple newspaper article.
It also requires specialist knowledge on the part of the translator. Time
and expertise are charged at a premium.
-
SPEED
OF TURNAROUND
Depending on
the type of material, a good translator can usually produce about 2000~3000
words of translation per day, and our pricing and time-schedules will
reflect this - naturally, the cost of translating a project will rise if the
deadline is so tight that translators are required to work overtime and
weekends to meet it.
-
TYPESETTING & PRINTING
It costs more to produce a glossy, full-colour marketing brochure than it does to produce a simple business letter: whilst the business letter can be produced relatively quickly, before the glossy brochure can go to print, it first needs to be professionally designed, typeset and then output to 4-colour film.
We are always
happy to provide written price quotes and estimated turnaround times before
undertaking any translation work.
How
long will it take?
On average a good
translator can clear 2000~3000 words of translation per day. However, this will
vary depending on the type of material to be translated (i.e., it usually takes
longer to translate technical material than more general texts) and on the final
output: laser copies can be produced almost instantaneously, whereas glossy,
full-colour brochures first need to be designed, then typeset, sent to film,
test-printed and proof-read before they can go to print.
Can
we keep the existing style & layout of our documentation?
We understand that
many of our clients have spent a great deal of time and money developing their own
distinctive corporate style which is reflected in their company
documentation.
We are be happy to
work with your chosen design consultants to ensure that style and image are not
compromised at any stage of the design process. In addition, we can often help
you to save money on typesetting and design costs by utilising existing document
layouts.
Can
I get a quote before I commit to anything?
Of course you can!
We are always happy to offer a firm price quote and turnaround time before we
start any job. And unless the project brief is altered at a later stage, we
guarantee that all work will be completed on time and within the quoted budget.
